Eyal Golan Sex scandal: Were teens being pimped out?

Eyal Golan

As Was reported  byT.O.T Consulting Services on Friday Israel Police are continuing to investigate suspicions that underage girls were being pimped in Tel Aviv, with the girls having sex with adults in exchange for jewels, clothing and cash. A PR man the girls knew would allegedly bring them to parties to meet the men, with two well-known singers allegedly among them. Police said Friday they hadn’t yet decided whether to question the singers.

“The transition to an open investigation and summoning the suspects for questioning under caution will be possible only if the testimony and investigation material point to a real and substantial suspicion of criminal wrongdoing,” the police said in a statement. The juvenile department of Tel Aviv District’s central unit has been evaluating the intelligence information it has received, in an effort to confirm the allegations against the singers and other suspects.

On Friday night, one of the girls, aged 17, spoke to Channel 10, saying she had told police of her relationship with one of the singers.

“We got close a little over a year ago,” she said. “I’m not saying he sexually harassed me or anything, it was all consensual. I wanted it.

“I went out with [one of] the famous people at first, and he’s also a famous singer. This isn’t a person who comes and says, ‘I want to sleep with her’ and then sleeps with her; it took a long time. It reached a point where I wanted it from him. I’m not accusing him of anything.”

She said she would meet the singer every few days. “Either I would go to him or he would come pick me up,” she said.

Though there is a publication ban on most of the details of the case, one of the suspected singers has essentially identified himself by repeatedly posting on his Facebook page that he is the target of character assassination, and thanking his fans for their support. This singer performed to a large crowd on Thursday night, telling the audience, “I think that the music and making people happy triumphs over everything, and that’s why I’m here.”

The affair involves between seven and 10 men, and six or seven girls aged between 15 to 17. Four of the girls gave testimony Thursday to Tel Aviv District Police.

When the story broke last week, it was alleged that the famous singer had had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl on several occasions over the last two months, recording some of the acts on his cell phone. The alleged recordings have yet to be obtained by police.

The police are also looking into allegations that another singer had sex with the girl and her friends at events organized by a PR person close to him. One girl also said the men used soft drugs on these occasions. The PR person who allegedly organized the gatherings told police that he had organized some events, but had no knowledge of guests having sex at them.
