MK Eldad: Investigate Neturei Karta for Hezbollah meeting

MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) asked the Attorney General Monday to investigate Neturei Karta for meeting with Hezbollah in Beirut on Sunday. Neturei Karta is a radically anti-Zionist Jewish Hasidic group that believes that the return of Jews to Israel in the twentieth century was premature and sinful.

The Hezbollah delegation included senior officials such as the Deputy President of the Movement, Sheikh Nabil Kuk.

Hezbollah released an official statement that the Neturei Karta delegation, which included Rabbi Israel David Weiss, had come to show its support for “Land Day,” which was officially commemorated last Friday. Neturei Karta had also participated in “Land Day” events.

"Jewish identity has been stolen by Zionism,” Rabbi Weiss said to the attendees and encouraged Hezbollah to continue its efforts “to be free” of the presence of Israel in the Middle East, Army Radio reported.
