Bob Weinstein Divorce: Movie Mogul's Wife Files For Divorce, Seeks Order Of Protection

Producer Bob Weinstein

Movie mogul Bob Weinstein and his wife have officially agreed to a temporary truce in their bitter divorce.

Weinstein and his wife, Annie, issued a joint statement through their lawyers yesterday saying that they’ve reached “a temporary arrangement,” cooling their sudden and nasty divorce fight.

Annie filed for divorce last week in an explosive filing that also sought an order of protection against her hubby, who was an executive producer of “The King’s Speech” and the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.

His camp countered that she’s an alcoholic who needs help, and that she had been the target of a failed intervention by family and friends the night before she filed suit.

The statement, by Annie’s lawyers, Harriet Cohen and Bonnie Rabin, and Bob’s lawyers, Norman Heller and Stephen McSweeney, said there’s no “finding of wrongdoing by either party” in the temporary deal.

The two sides declined further comment, citing Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Ellen Gesmer’s gag order in the case.

Both sides and their clients appeared before Gesmer on Monday, and spent hours behind closed doors with the judge trying to hammer out a deal. They had a telephone conference with the judge the next day, records show.

Millions are at stake in the divorce. Bob is the brother and business partner of famously temperamental movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

He and Annie, a former temp who worked for Bob at his old studio, Miramax, have been married for 12 years, and lived together in a $15 million Upper West Side town house. A knowledgeable source said they had a prenuptial agreement.
